Terms of Use

Last updated 8 October 2026

Welcome to Cycleping. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Bynker BV ("Cycleping", "we", "us"), the provider of the Cycleping app and service. They also work as the end user licence agreement (EULA) for the Cycleping app. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using Cycleping, you agree to these Terms.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away the rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of Belgium, the European Union or the country where you live.

1. Who we are

Bynker BV Knokuilstraat 11, 8800 Roeselare, Belgium Company number: BE 1021.968.145 Email: info@bynker.be Website: https://cycleping.io

2. The service

Cycleping tells cycling fans when to start watching a race. Fans who are watching a live race tap a ping when something decisive happens: "Sprint is starting", "Final 10 km" or "Major attack". When enough fans ping the same moment within a short time, Cycleping sends a push notification to the other fans. Our team may also send alerts.

Please understand how this works:

The service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Your account

4. Fair play (acceptable use)

Cycleping only works if fans can trust the alerts. When you use Cycleping, you agree that you will not:

If we reasonably believe you broke these Terms, we may ignore your pings, suspend your account or close it. Unless the situation is urgent or serious (for example fraud, security risks or repeated abuse), we will first warn you and give you a chance to explain. If we close your account because of a breach, you are not entitled to a refund for the remaining period of a subscription, except where the law requires one.

5. Plans and subscriptions

5.1 Plans

Cycleping offers a free plan and may offer paid plans (Premium and Premium Plus). What each plan includes is shown in the app before you buy. We may improve or change the features of a plan. If we reduce a paid plan in a way that matters to you, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel.

5.2 Buying through Apple

Paid plans are sold as auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple is the seller and handles payment, billing and refunds.

5.3 Apple's terms

Your purchase and use of the app are also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Apple standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). If those terms and these Terms conflict regarding Apple, Apple's terms apply to that point. Section 13 contains additional terms that Apple requires.

6. Lifetime membership

Some early supporters received a lifetime membership outside the app.

7. Intellectual property and licence

Cycleping, including the app, its design, logo, texts, software and alert data, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download and use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by Apple's Usage Rules, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent the app, or remove any notices from it, except where the law expressly allows it.

When you send a ping, you allow us to use it (without your name) to create alerts and statistics.

Third-party names, race names and trademarks belong to their owners and are only used to identify races.

8. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Cycleping available, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to interrupt the service for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We may change, add or remove features. If a change has a significant negative effect on a paid plan you use, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

9. Liability

We provide Cycleping with reasonable care and skill. Because alerts depend on fans and on third-party services, Cycleping is provided "as is" and "as available", to the extent the law allows.

To the extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our fault, for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, for fraud, for failing to perform an essential obligation of the agreement, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Belgian law, EU law or the mandatory law of your country. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services, are not affected.

10. Ending the agreement and deleting your account

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, for example when we add new features or paid plans, or when the law changes. We will tell you about important changes in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, unless a change is required by law or for security reasons sooner. If you do not agree, you can delete your account and cancel your subscription before the change takes effect. If you keep using Cycleping after that date, the new Terms apply.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@bynker.be. We will try to find a solution together. If we cannot, consumers living in Belgium can also contact the Consumer Mediation Service (Consumentenombudsdienst / Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur, www.mediationconsommateur.be).

Disputes are handled by the competent courts of Belgium. If you are a consumer, you can also bring a case before the courts of the place where you live, and we can only bring a case against you there.

13. Additional terms for the Apple App Store

These terms apply because the app is distributed through Apple's App Store:

  1. Parties. These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Scope of licence. Your licence to use the app is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may also be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where available.
  3. Maintenance and support. We alone are responsible for maintenance and support of the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support.
  4. Warranty. We are responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent required by these Terms and the law.
  5. Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  6. Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  7. Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms (such as your mobile data or internet provider) when using the app.
  9. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. When you accept these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  10. Questions and complaints. Send any questions, complaints or claims about the app to us, using the contact details in section 1.
